Sofa cleaning: dry cleaning vs. steam extraction

Not all furniture is cleaned the same way. Dry cleaning uses little moisture and suits delicate or water-sensitive fabrics; it dries fast but penetrates less.

Injection-and-suction extraction (sometimes with steam) injects cleaning solution and vacuums it right back, pulling dust, mites and stains from deep in the fiber. It’s the most thorough method for everyday sofas, and includes sanitizing and odor treatment.
